This is a showcase site, so it's stuffed with small interactive touches. None of them are required for anything — they're just for fun. Here's how to find the ones that remain.
🔥 The hidden "ember" theme
Beyond the usual light/dark toggle, there's a third, hidden theme.
How: type e-m-b-e-r anywhere on the page (not in a text box).
The whole site flips to a gothic blood-and-ember palette, and on the homepage
the grassy hillside turns to netherrack, basalt, and flowing lava. Type
ember again — or click the theme toggle in the header — to switch back.
⛏️ Make it rain ores
On the homepage, the little pixel hill along the bottom is interactive.
How: click any ore block poking out of the hillside (coal, iron, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald).
The matching item showers down across the page. Each ore drops its own item.
🐔 Poke the chicken
Head to the News page. There's a chicken sitting in the divider above the posts.
How: click the chicken.
It bobs and lays an egg that rolls out and fades. Click as fast as you like.
🖥️ Check the console
How: open your browser's developer tools and look at the Console tab.
There's a little ASCII-art wordmark waiting for anyone who goes poking around under the hood.
❓ Lost in the woods
Down in the footer, after "A peaceful place to build, trade, and grow," there's
a faint ?.
How: click it (or just visit any URL that doesn't exist).
You'll land on the 404 page.
That's the lot — small touches that make a static site feel a little more alive.
